I'm looking to start raiding heroics seriously. Not necessarily hardcore, just seriously. Tell us about yourself and say something funny. I'm a college student who's (slowly) working my way to a Pharm.D. I've been a sci-fi/fantasy fan since I was about 7, and I've gradually become a gamer over the last decade or so. A good friend of mine once described me as "he's a bit of a jerk, but it's part of his charm." I'd like to think that by "jerk," she meant "clever, sarcastic, witty smart-ass," but I guess "jerk" works too. What prior raiding experience do you have? 14/14 N SoO, 7/7 N Firelands (when it was current content), and 6 or so heroics in ICC (when ICC was current content). I'm east coast though, so I'm free after 10 pm EST on weeknights, and after 11 EST on weekend nights. On Tuesday and Wednesday, I'm available all day. Do you know anyone in Eternity? If so, who? No Prior 2 guilds and reasons for leaving. Currently Intolerant, I realm transfered to start heroics, but after three weeks of clearing normal with them, the officers told us that we won't be starting heroics until we have a full team. Seeing as we're down 4 spots on our full-time roster, that irked me a bit. Before that I was in The Immortals-Ravencrest. Last I checked they're still 13/14 N. After I got my first Garrosh kill in a PuG, I decided it was time to move on. Raid spots are not guaranteed even if you sign up. Are you ok with this? Yes sir. I like guilds where spots are earned through performance. Discuss how you can use your class to go beyond your normal role and help the raid to succeed. Heart of the Wild is a beautiful thing. If we're tight on an enrage timer, I can help to dps. I think I've hit nearly 300k for it's duration, and that'll only increase with gear. I can also tank in a pinch with HotW, albeit only for 45 seconds. That's more than enough time to battle-rez a tank and get him/her buffed up and ready to go, though. Tell us about your stat priorities? Intellect is the main priority stat for restoration druids, since more int = more spell power = bigger heals. After that, spirit is top priority until mana regen is at a sufficient level. I find that between 13k and 14k spirit is comfortable, although I suspect that with heroic modes, I'll have to reforge out of some spirit and into more mastery, and simply make better use of Innervate and potions in order to keep up with the damage coming out. After Spirit, haste to the relevant breakpoint is priority, since it dramatically increases throughput via extra ticks on HoTs. (I've also liked haste has a healing stat since I started playing a druid back in ICC, since it helps with clutch healing too.) I'm currently geared for the 37.52% haste breakpoint, which gives me two extra ticks on rejuvenation, my most important spell. Note that haste beyond a breakpoint is basically wasted, since it doesn't improve HoTs except to increase their tick-rate, which isn't very valuable. After reaching the appropriate haste breakpoint, mastery > crit > additional haste for throughput. Most wanted upgrade? Thok's Acid-Grooved Tooth. The cleave healing is stupid good for resto druids. What is your offspec? Is it raid viable? Will you switch to it to get a raid spot? A better question would be what *isn't* my offspec. I like to maintain sets of gear for every set, in the event that the raid needs me to perform a specific role. Currently, I do not have a dedicated feral set, and my guardian set would not really suffice for it. I have a full guardian set that is definitely raid viable, and most of a balance set that is almost raid viable (just missing a trinket, and some different rings would be cool.) I am comfortable playing those three specs of druid, and I know enough about playing feral that I feel I could learn it in about a week's time. What is your item level? 564 resto, 550 guardian, not sure for boom since I'm using a few pieces from my resto set for boom.
